A flexible, holistic and collaborative process tailored precisely to your individual needs and circumstances.
My Approach to Integrative Counselling
At the Heart of My Work
I believe that given the right support, every person has the capacity to grow, heal and develop a deeper understanding of themselves when given the right environment and emotional tools to do so.
I work as an integrative counsellor which is a flexible and holistic approach to counselling that recognises there is no single method that suits everyone. Instead of working from one fixed model, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapt them to meet your individual needs, personality, and circumstances. This means we can explore your thoughts, feelings, past experiences, and patterns of behaviour in a way that feels most helpful for you. Integrative therapy looks at the whole person, acknowledging how different aspects of your life connect and influence one another.

Finding the Right Approach Together
At its core, therapy is a collaborative process, so, together we can find an approach that feels comfortable and supportive for you. The aim being to help you to develop greater understanding, build resilience and find ways of moving towards a better future. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I will walk alongside you, supporting you as you make sense of things in your own way and at your own pace.
There’s no doubt that life can be complex, overwhelming, painful and frustrating at times but I believe that through a genuine and compassionate, therapeutic relationship lasting change, understanding and self-acceptance can develop.
I don’t claim to know all the answers to life’s problems but I am committed to working with you and respecting that you are the expert in your own life. My aim is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, understood and able to explore whatever you need to bring into the room.

Bringing Balance to Your Daily Life
Therapy is not only about exploring what brings you here; it is also about understanding how your experiences shape the way you think, feel and respond in everyday life. Together, we can identify subtle habits, thought loops, coping mechanisms and patterns that may be keeping you stuck and help you to develop healthier, more compassionate ways of coping.
- Understanding patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours and gently replacing them with healthier more helpful ways of responding
- Developing practical tools to support you through difficult or high stress times
- Building self-awareness, confidence and a kinder relationship with yourself
Common Issues I Can Help With
Before We Begin
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. I want you to feel comfortable and confident in your choice, with a clear understanding of how I work and what you can expect from our sessions. My aim is to offer a warm, supportive and collaborative space where you feel heard and understood, alongside clear information about the practical details of our sessions.
Weekly sessions are recommended because they provide a consistent and reliable space for you to reflect, process and build momentum in your therapeutic work. Meeting regularly helps to develop a sense of trust and continuity, allowing you to stay connected to what you are exploring rather than feeling as though you are starting again each time.
Each 50-minute session is £50. Payment is required 24 hours in advance. Cancellation policy is available.
We will meet face- to- face in my comfortable, private room in Leigh-on-sea. I also offer online therapy via Zoom or Microsoft Teams should this be your preference.
